Piercing Care
🧼 PROPER PIERCING HEALING INSTRUCTIONS.
1️⃣ Do not touch, move or apply pressure on your piercing
-
Avoid touching, moving or applying pressure on your new piercing.
2️⃣ During the first month
-
Disinfect with antiseptic spray 3 times a day:
-
Twice a day: spray both sides of the piercing and dry with sterile gauze or a clean tissue.
-
Once a day: in addition to spraying, gently clean with sterile gauze to remove any discharge, dried blood, dead skin, or shampoo residue.
-
📌 Goal: keep the piercing clean and dry.
3️⃣ After the first month
-
If there’s no inflammation or pain and healing is progressing well, continue disinfecting once a day until fully healed.
-
Healing time varies from 2 months to 1 year, depending on the type of piercing.
4️⃣ Avoid pools and saunas during the first month
-
If you go to the beach or play sports, disinfect the piercing thoroughly afterward.
5️⃣ Reducing inflammation in sensitive piercings
-
For piercings on the lips, tongue, navel, nostril, eyebrows, industrial, or if you had multiple piercings done at once:
-
We recommend taking anti-inflammatory every 8h for the first 3 days to reduce initial swelling.
-
⚠️ IMPORTANT: POST-PIERCING CARE
During the first 10 days, it’s normal to experience:
✔ Bleeding (light or heavy)
✔ Swelling, pain, or bruising in the area
To relieve these symptoms:
➡ Gently clean the area after bleeding using piercing spray, saline solution, or antiseptic ➡ Take an anti-inflammatory every 8 hours for the first 3 days ➡ Bruising will fade over time

👅 SPECIAL CARE FOR ORAL PIERCINGS
(Lips, tongue, frenulum, etc.)
Oral piercings require specific aftercare since they’re constantly exposed to bacteria, food, and movement. Follow these steps for proper healing:
1️⃣ Soft diet for the first 4–5 days
-
It’s essential to stick to a soft diet during this period.
-
Oral piercings heal quickly, but the first few days carry a high risk of infection.
🚫 Completely avoid:
-
Meat, fish, dairy
-
Alcohol, smoking
-
Very hot or spicy foods
2️⃣ Use alcohol-free laser mouthwash after every meal
-
Only use laser mouthwash (no alcohol).
-
❌ Do not use Listerine or any alcohol-based mouthwash, as it can irritate the area.
3️⃣ Take an anti-inflammatory every 8 hours for the first 3 days
-
Helps reduce the typical initial swelling of oral piercings.
4️⃣ After the soft diet
-
Continue using mouthwash for 1 month, twice a day: morning and night.
5️⃣ For lip piercings:
-
In addition to internal care, follow the same external aftercare instructions as for other piercings.
